I'm a Berlin-based lighting designer, working across photography and film, with a focus on advertising, fashion, and still life.

I'm Žilvinas Garnelis, a 30-year-old lighting designer from Lithuania with a strong passion for visual storytelling through light. After finishing my studies in Applied Physics, since 2018, I’ve been working in the lighting industry daily. I'm fluent in English and currently hold an A2 level in German. Since a year now I am focusing more on moving image productions and looking for short films to create lighting for.

In my role as head of lighting, I lead the team and oversee the execution of complex setups, often working with both strobe and continuous lighting. I am using advanced wireless DMX technology for seamless lighting control on set.

Since 2022, I’ve been co-running Raw Light Rental, a company focused on providing high-quality lighting equipment and support for creative productions.
